Mopsy was a rescue bat in southern California, an usual find these days as bats are becoming more endangered along with the insects that they feed on. My friend rescued her, and wanted a painting of her because she was so special. She was gentle and although wild, not adverse to being handled. I painted her with the recent pictures sent back to earth by the James Webb space telescope, images sent a million miles from out little planet. Gallexies and whole worlds are contained in the photos, and I felt sweet Mopsy was deserving of such a night sky.
