I have never really tried to paint a miniature before.   This chicken was a challenge to paint on a 5x7 format.  I was reminded of Adele, in the film Synecdoche NY, with her magnifiers on to see what she was painting.  I have to say it was fun to be so focused for a few hours.  Where does the time go?  When I work on things like this, I have no idea.  All of a sudden it's 1 am!

These are rare indonesian fowl, known for their hyper black pigmentation, having black skin, comb, wattles, flesh, organs and bones.  They lay cream colored eggs. And they shine in the sun beautiful greens and purples.  If I had a coop, this would be my bird of choice.
