Daily painting, day 15.  Or is it day 14?  I cant tell anymore, the days just flow into one another.  Today's animal is the Monarch, the butterfly we have all known since childhood.  Sadly, they are in decline, like everything else.  But people want to help and they plant milkweed for the catepillars to munch on, and some of the people actually are giving their lives to try to keep the forests alive for them to return to when they migrate.

I find it very difficult to paint butterflies and frogs that come already painted and spectacular in every way.  I hope someday to be able to do them justice.  This little painting is still in progress, but should be done in another day or so.  It can be yours if you have a hankering for a painted monarch on your wall.
